Graphic Design: Album Cover
Redesign of Dean’s 130 Mood: TRBL Album, conveying themes of psychological turmoil, longing, and the complexity of relationships. Using mixed media techniques such as paint, charcoal, string, and gold leaf, I created a series of photographs that visually express the emotional distress conveyed in the album. These images were then digitally manipulated, with layers of various compositions enhanced through filters and editing to emphasize contrasting areas. Typography was incorporated as the final element to complete the composition.
Image Making for Graphic Design

Raw photos documenting my exploration with paint, charcoal, blue string, and gold leaf. Through these materials, I reflect on the complexities of relationships and the lasting heartache they leave behind. Black ink represents the permanence of pain, while fragments of gold leaf evoke cherished memories. The tangled blue strings symbolize the messy, intertwined nature of human connections.

Layout Design of Covers and Sleeves – The cover represents the vibrant, dynamic energy of the first steps of a new relationship, hinting at the beauty and excitement of new beginnings. In contrast, the minimalist design of the back cover symbolizes a love story gradually unfolding, with only subtle traces of the past remaining as time progresses. This mirrors the way a user typically interacts with an album: drawn first to the cover, experiencing the album itself, and finally encountering the back cover as a quiet reflection of the journey.
